From a Danish cellar to a global pump leader.
Grundfos was founded in 1945 by Poul Due Jensen in Bjerringbro, Denmark. Over eight decades, it has grown from a one-man machine shop into the largest pump manufacturer in the world.

Ownership structure
Since 1975, the Poul Due Jensen Foundation has owned the majority of Grundfos. Today the foundation holds about 86% of shares in Grundfos Holding A/S, the founder's family holds about 12%, and employees hold roughly 2%. Profits are reinvested in the Grundfos Group. Flemming Konradsen serves as the foundation's chairman.
